Vascular Medicine
History & Education
A Fresno native, Dr. Gaede traveled to complete his undergraduate work at the University of California, Santa Barbara. In 1976, he graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, in the top 10 percent of his class.
Later, Dr. Gaede completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at University Medical Center of Fresno, and became board certified in Internal Medicine.
He moved to Cleveland in 1991 to complete a one-year fellowship in Vascular Medicine at the renowned Cleveland Clinic. While there, he gained expertise in the treatment of varicose veins, circulation problems, and blood clots, and became familiar with advanced techniques using ultrasound and sclerotherapy.
Publications
Dr. Gaede has written a chapter on venous ulcers in the book, Conn’s Current Therapy (2001 edition), and has been a principal investigator in several important international studies.
The studies have involved research into new blood thinners for blood clots, treatment of high cholesterol, and new medicines for high blood pressure.

Cardiovascular Specialist
History & Education
Dr. Cislowski completed his undergraduate work at UCLA, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in physics. He then graduated from UCLA Medical School 1977.
He trained at Valley Med Center in Fresno, VMC as a specialist in Internal Medicine. He then completed a cardiology fellowship, also at VMC in 1982, where he trained to perform cardiology procedures, cardiac catheterizations, and pacemaker implantations.
Now board certified in cardiology and nuclear cardiology, Dr. Cislowski is known as an expert in cardiovascular medicine, caring for patients with complex cardiac and vascular problems. Additional education includes angioplasty and Cardiac CT training.
Publications & Lectures
Dr. Cislowski’s articles have appeared in multiple journals. He was highlighted in USA Today (November 25, 1997). He has lectured to physicians and the community. He has been an investigator for many national and international drug studies in the office and hospital settings.
